As we talked about in class I'd like you to find a video, film or TV programme (of at least ten minutes duration), in English, that you are interested in watching, watch it, post a link to it on here with a brief description of what it is, and be prepared to tell your classmates about it tomorrow.
Simple!
I mentioned these in class:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbwvhDtjOWo (American Ninja Warrior- a competition where people try to complete an insanely difficult assault course)
https://www.youtube.com/user/scamschool (A show about the way con-artists use psychological tricks, and how to use those tricks in a fun way)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysIzx_wtrFw (Brain Games- a fun look at various brain-related phenomena)
Some alternative sources of English-language news:
http://www.france24.com/en/ - they have an interesting series of environmental documentaries here: http://www.france24.com/en/tv-shows/down-earth/
http://www.aljazeera.com/
Science and Engineering related stuff: http://www.insidescience.org/
Enjoy watching.

ResponderEliminarI would like to share with you a youtube channel: whatsupmons. You can find out it at: https://www.youtube.com/user/WhatsUpMOMS/featured
ResponderEliminarIt is a space produced by moms whose aim is to inspire, inform, and, sometimes, make the viewer laugh.
There are three permanent sections. Thus, on Mondays, recipes and cooking tips are post. However, on Wednesdays, they publish tips and comedic shorts and, finally, on Fridays, different DIY. In addition, they do different collaborations and funny covers. I really love them and I hope you enjoy too!
Excellent- so true! I've got two who are pretty independent now bu the first few years it's like having six jobs
EliminarWow! Wonderfull shows, I really enjoy Scamschool. I feel a bit disappointed with American Ninja Warrior. In my opinion they tryed to make it epic but they didn't achieve it. I prefer "Humor Amarillo", chinese-spanish laughing version. XD
ResponderEliminarAnd I like a lot WhatUpMoms, hahahaha. The video Friends Without Kids is... god, I'm still laughing!
I'd like to share this rare ould TV show, Monty Phyton's Flying Circus. One of my favourite, the Silly Job Interview:

Keep on laughing!

Eliminar"But the level of diificulty of the tasks on ANW is amazing!" Well, that's indeed true. I'll give you that. ^^
EliminarHi!!
ResponderEliminarFirst of all, I'd like to ask you a brief question : How optimistic are you?
After thinking about it, I propose you to watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8rmi95pYL0#t=703
Some people are always thinking about the worst things that can happen to them... Some other people are constantly wearing these rose-tinted glasses that make them totally oblivious to possible dangers, and most of us prefer to see the glass half full most of the times, while staying on the realistic side of life.
Tali Sharot is a researcher who after conducting several lab studies believes that we are born to be optimistic, and that we are actually biased to look on the bright side of life.
Cristina González Flórez
Nice videos and lots of laughing... I had a really good time seing them. But what if we have some lessons? Jajaja, I mean, the guy on my link is going to help Elay giving lessons and it's a good way to improve our skills.
ResponderEliminarI found him like two weeks ago and now I would want to share his videos with you all. His name is James and with his help and the one help of Elay in class, we are going to improve our English really faster.
The video I want to post is this: http://youtu.be/GEQhDeNyM8s and it's about our listening skills. He also says that it doesn't mind if we are advanced students - cause we are ;) - because we can always learn more. I hope you like it! Thanks.
I'd like to share with you this TV Program; Top Gear. Although I suppose that most of you know it, I'll put a short description about it.
ResponderEliminarTop Gear is a TV series about cars presented by Jeremy Clarckson, James May and Richard Hammond. In each program, they test some cars and talk about news related with motorsport. Also, they invite a celebrity and, after a short interview, he make a lap at the Top Gear track trying to make the best time.
I've chosen this episode because the guest is Sebastian Vettel and they test one of my favourite cars; McLaren MP4-12C.
Enjoy it!
